An entertaining calendar of activities for all audiences
Every month of the year, the Asturias Natural Network celebrates different activities related to nature and the environment, and it does so throughout the region, in emblematic natural spaces, with the aim of disseminating and educating in the love of nature.
In short, an enjoyable journey through the geography and beauty of Asturian nature.
World Days
The Asturias Nature Network joins the celebration of several World and International Days throughout the year with activities designed to raise awareness, learn and enjoy nature. Through workshops, exhibitions and guided tours, the public is made aware of the importance of conserving our ecosystems and encouraging an active commitment to the environment.
It is a wide and varied calendar that positions Asturias as a destination that is aware and active in caring for the environment.

World Bee Day - May 2026

In commemoration of World Bee Day, on Saturday 23rd May, a day will be held in the Redes Natural Park, Campo de Caso, where we will highlight the function of these insects in pollination and their essential role in the balance of ecosystems and the conservation of biodiversity.

During the day, several educational activities will be carried out with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of bees in our natural environment. We will start with a visit to the Beekeeping Museum, led by Alba, from Aturruta. We will continue with a visit to the Centro de
Interpretation Centre of Redes, a guided tour along the Veneros path and we will end the day dressed as beekeepers where we will see first-hand several live honeycombs, their social structure and how they work.

Children's workshops 2026
The Asturias Nature Network organises different children's workshops throughout the year. The estimated age range for the activities is from 6 to 11 years old.
The next workshops are:

Volunteer Days
- Xagó Beach, Gozón

The volunteering days are activities designed for any adult willing to lend a hand. You don't need any previous experience or knowledge, just curiosity, energy and a desire to learn. If you like nature, are concerned about the environment or simply want to do something useful and different, this volunteering is for you. You will learn about the local flora, discover how invasive plants affect our landscapes.
These types of activities are a unique opportunity for those who want to make a difference. Throughout the year, several days will be organised in different parts of the Asturian coastline where we will remove invasive species to restore the natural balance, remove waste and contribute to a healthier environment, promoting biodiversity and restoring damaged areas.

Ornithological Itinerary of the Villaviciosa Estuary
- Interpretation Centre of the Partial Nature Reserve of the Villaviciosa Estuary (El Puntal)
Every Saturday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm
Our itinerary through the surroundings of the Partial Nature Reserve of the Villaviciosa Estuary aims to observe, identify and understand the role of the bird species that inhabit one of the most valuable wetlands in the North of Spain with the help of our guide and expert on the ecosystem.

Our itinerary through the viewpoints of Obacho offers to know the history and natural wealth of this enclave and to enjoy unique panoramic views of the only Integral Natural Reserve of Asturias. Our guide will help you get to know this place and answer any questions you may have about this unique environment.

Cape Peñas Itinerary

Our itinerary through the Cape Peñas Protected Landscape offers you the chance to discover the natural wealth of this enclave and enjoy unique panoramic views of the Cantabrian Sea. Our guide will help you to get to know this place and answer any questions you may have about this unique environment along our 1.5km circular route.

Weekends in May
We invite you to take part in a guided tour of the surroundings of the Picos de Europa National Park, visiting the shepherds' hut, the arboretum and the interpretative model of the territory. On the 11:00 and 16:00 departures, the itinerary also includes a stop at the Mirador del Príncipe viewpoint, a unique spot to enjoy breathtaking views.
A short, accessible and perfect walk to get to know the natural wealth of this environment from the hand of our guides, experts in the environmental interpretation of the surroundings. Are you going to miss it?

We invite you to take part in a guided tour around the Redes Natural Park, taking a walk to get to know the fascinating ecosystem of the riverside forest with our guide from La Casa del Agua, to the Rioseco reservoir where we will have the opportunity to make an ornithological stop for birdwatching.

Exhibitions - April 2026
The exhibitions organised by RENA in several of its Interpretation Centres and Nature Classrooms bring visitors closer to the natural, cultural and environmental values of our protected areas. Designed for all audiences, each exhibition is adapted to the territory and offers an experience that invites visitors to discover nature from a new perspective.
Two exhibitions in the Natural Park of Somiedo: Giant model of Valle de Lago and the photographic exhibition "Pulse, Beats of the Iberian fauna".

Every day the Interpretation Centre is open.
Giant scale model of the village of Valle de Lago, where you can find and be surprised with the representations of the mountains, lakes, mills, teitos and stone houses, and even wild animals.

Pulso, latidos de la fauna ibérica, is a photographic exhibition that reveals wildlife from its most intimate rhythm. Through powerful and sensitive images, it captures moments where nature breathes, observes and resists.

Opening days of the Interpretation Centre
The photographic exhibition 'Asturias, naturally' 2026 , is the new travelling exhibition organised by the Association of Nature Photographers of Asturias (AFONAS) and which this year renews its participation in the Cape Peñas Interpretation Centre.
The exhibition shows the natural beauty and fauna of Asturias through spectacular photographs taken in the natural environments of our Asturian territory.
