Lara Martínez highlighted the touristic nature of the route, "which will once again take advantage of the showcase of La Vuelta to show the public our landscapes of sea and mountains, and the possibilities that this orography of contrasts offers to cyclists and cycling enthusiasts". These conditions also mark the sporting demands of the Asturian stages and will once again make them three of the most eagerly awaited by television viewers, as is the case with every edition. The presentation of the route was also attended by the mayors of three of the councils that will be the starting and finishing points of the Vuelta 2024: Piloña, Iván Allende; Lena, Gema Álvarez; Gozón, Jorge Suárez, and the sports councillor of Cangas de Onís, Agustín García.
