The best music festivals in Asturias this year 2025

L.E.V. Festival (Laboratorio de Electrónica Visual) celebrates a new edition from the 1st to the 4th of May 2025 in Gijón/Xixón, turning this Asturian city once again into a place of reference to delve into the most heterodox electronic sound experimentation and the most avant-garde audiovisual, scenic and digital creation.

There are four days of programming with an innovative proposal in different venues in the city of Gijón/Xixón, within the framework of a programme that places special emphasis on audiovisual and musical performances, accompanied by audiovisual and performative installations, as well as experiences around extended realities.

VESU, Oviedo's independent music festival, will return to the capital of Asturias from 20 to 22 June 2025.

The Municipal Foundation of Culture (FMC) is organising this festival for the third consecutive year in Oviedo, which is characterised by the combination of consolidated proposals, avant-garde movements and bets on new bands that will soon become a reference in our country.

VESU Festival 2025 will take place in several emblematic venues in Oviedo and Bueño, with a line-up of national and international artists.

Metrópoli Gijón is already a classic of leisure and culture in the city during the summer season, filling the Gijón summer with novelties and surprises in musical format.

From 27 June to 6 July, Metrópoli Gijón will offer an important programme of pop and rock music, as well as cultural activities of all kinds, including some of the most interesting exhibitions.

Boombastic is a newer but equally interesting and intense festival.

In this great event there is room for different types and styles of music, ranging from urban music, pop and indie, without forgetting electronic music. All of them are fundamental pillars of a festival that also has an area for daytime activities. It also has a well cared for rest area, cultural bonuses, etc.

This year, on 17, 18 and 19 July, in La Morgal (Llanera), a new edition of this festival will take place, which promises innovation and surprises.

During the summer, Gijón/Xixón becomes a great musical and cultural capital, with a large number and excellent quality of events linked to music and other related manifestations.

The Tsunami Xixón Festival will offer rock lovers a series of high-level concerts on 17, 18 and 19 July. An intense programme with a multitude of bands that will arrive and fill the Parque Hermanos Castro this summer.

Thanks to all of them, Tsunami Gijón is already confirmed as one of the biggest rock festivals in southern Europe. An unmissable event for every rock lover in the whole country.

The Ye-Yé Gijón festival is held from 24 to 27 July.

A pioneer of music festivals in the city and in Asturias, it has become a classic of this cultural format, which is so successful with the public.

After more than a quarter of a century of Euroyeyé, the new Ye-Yé took over in 2020, and it turns out that the doyen of Asturian underground festivals maintains its loyalty to Gijón/Xixón, as well as its vocation to investigate and celebrate a fascinating culture and scene born of the restless spirits of the 60s of the 20th century, and the ramifications and trends that have been born and grown up to the present day.

Independent music lovers also have their destination in Asturias.

The Prestoso Fest, an event that is gaining momentum from year to year, arrives in Asturias in the middle of August, at the height of the summer season.

In the heart of western Asturias, just a couple of kilometres from Cangas del Narcea, in Las Barzaniellas, this festival livens up this area of Asturias with its performances and its important line-up.

This year the festival takes place on 7, 8 and 9 August.

For more than a quarter of a century,Aquasella has been generating a brand and positioning Asturias as a pioneering destination for avant-garde musical and cultural festivals.

Every year, Aquasella and its impressive programmes flood the east of Asturias with the best techno music.

With a privileged location on the banks of the river Sella, near the town of Arriondas/Les Arriondes, Aquasella is a true city of music.

This year it will be held on the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th of August.

Riverland Festival is one of the most relevant events in the cultural and musical scene in Asturias this summer.

Riverland held its first edition in 2019 and, like Aquasella, is based in the east of Asturias and more specifically in Arriondas/Les Arriondes.

In this festival you can enjoy the best music within the genres of indie, pop or rock, as well as the best urban music and all framed in a place with a unique nature on the banks of the most emblematic river of Asturias, the Sella.

After last year's great success, Riverland will be held on 22, 23 and 24 August.
