From 2 to 10 December, the last period of this year's special transport plan, new measures will be implemented to optimise the visitor experience when accessing this natural site.
1 - Road closures for safety:
Throughout the Puente de la Constitución, the road will remain closed to unauthorised vehicles 24 hours a day. This measure not only ensures road safety but also preserves the natural beauty of the surroundings, providing visitors with a quieter and safer experience.
2 - Improved frequencies:
2,700 seats will be offered daily with pre-sale of the 2,700 daily seats available, a measure that promises to avoid queues and streamline the transport process. The reorganisation of frequencies will also be notable, with nine departures up and nine departures down.
3 - Exit points:
Users will have three departure points in each time slot: Cangues d'Onís/Cangas de Onís bus station, El Bosque car park and Muñíu car park. All buses will make stops at El Repelao and Cuadonga/Covadonga to facilitate the visit to the Royal Site of Covadonga.
IMPORTANT: It is compulsory to purchase a return ticket before boarding the bus. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.alsa.es, at the ticket office or at authorised sales points.
4 - Timetables:
The timetables have been adapted to offer greater flexibility to visitors. The first service will leave for the lakes at 8:00 am and will run until 4:00 pm. In the opposite direction, buses will start leaving the lakes at 11:05 am, finishing at 7:05 pm.
5 - Prices:
Prices remain unchanged at €9 for an adult ticket and €3.5 for children aged 3-12 years.
6 - Access with dogs:
The buses have a free dog carrier in the luggage compartment. Once in the Park, animals must be kept on a leash at all times.
7 - New shuttle service to the Royal Site of Covadonga:
As a novelty, the Consejería de Fomento will launch a shuttle service between Cangues d'Onís/Cangas de Onís and Cuadonga/Covadonga. This service, with 24 daily frequencies, will operate every 30 minutes in both directions, from 7:40 am to 7:00 pm.
Moreover, the use of this shuttle will be included in the Lakes Plan ticket, thus encouraging the use of public transport and reducing private vehicle traffic in the Royal Site. For other travellers, there is the option of using the service using the CONECTA card or buying a single ticket.
