The so-called Prao del Convento, in the vicinity of the Monastery of San Salvador de Cornellana, hosts the Salmon Fair, which is held in conjunction with the 24th edition of Capenastur, a fair for hunting, fishing, nature and active tourism in which the auction of the Campanu de Asturias - the first salmon of the season - takes place, which has become a social, sporting and cultural event in this land.
This event has been declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in the Principality of Asturias.
The programme of complementary activities is very wide and varied, including the release of juveniles, various exhibitions, activities for children, conferences and much more.
