Event declared a Festivity of National Tourist Interest

Oviedo/Uviéu hosts within its San Mateo festivities, a new edition of the Day of America in Asturias that fills the city with colour. This is a tribute that, since 1950, has been paid to Asturian emigrants in America and to the countries that have welcomed them.

The main event of this festive day consists of a massive parade of beautifully decorated floats through the streets of the centre of the capital. The procession will parade through Uría and around the Campo.
