The capital of Cartagena hosts the Festival de Bandes de Gaites Villa de Candás, with concerts and parades. The main event of the festival will be held on Saturday night in Les Conserveres Park.

This event has been declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in the Principality of Asturias.

Every summer since 1997, this festival has been organised, bringing together a large number of people from all over Europe to enjoy a varied representation of the best pipe bands from all over the Celtic world.
