Event designated as a Festival of Tourist Interest in the Principality of Asturias

Exconxuraos returns to Llanera with a new edition of this historic celebration, which re-enacts the pardon granted to the inhabitants of the council following their confrontation with the ecclesiastical authorities in the Middle Ages. Over three days, the Llanera Exhibition Centre is transformed into a large medieval town featuring a market, a historical encampment, re-enactments, exhibitions, music, shows and activities for all ages.
The event will feature a large medieval market, historical encampments, jousting, falconry displays, puppet theatre and storytelling, street music, historical re-enactments, parades and evening concerts. The programme will culminate on Sunday with the traditional Exconxuraos parade, the open-air mass and the closing ceremonies.

Friday 3 July – Day of the Rebellion

  • 6.00 pm. Opening of the medieval market and encampment. Knightly tournaments (encampment).
  • 6.30 pm: Puppet theatre and storytelling. Street entertainment.
  • 7.00 pm. Medieval melodies. Explanation of weapons (camp).
  • 7.15 pm: Falconry display.
  • 7.45 pm. Puppet theatre and storytelling.
  • 8.00 pm. Street entertainment. Combat formations (camp).
  • 8.30 pm. Parade and opening address by Exconxuraos, delivered by athlete Gerardo Casas Rodríguez.

  • 1.00 pm. Open-air mass with the Llanera Polyphonic Choir.
  • 1.30 pm. Demonstration of weapons (camp).
  • 1.45 pm. Battle formations (camp). Street entertainment.

To mark Exconxuraos 2026, a special ALSA bus service will operate between Oviedo and the Llanera Exhibition Centre on the nights of 3–4 and 4–5 July.
Departures from Oviedo: 8 .00 pm, 9.00 pm, 10.00 pm and 11.00 pm. Departures from the Llanera Exhibition Centre: 01 :15, 02:15, 03:15, 04:15, 05:15 and 06:15. The service will make stops at various locations in Oviedo, Lugones and Llanera.
