Benia hosts the celebration of the Certamen del Quesu Gamonéu, in which the best producers of the varieties from the Puertu and the Valley are chosen every year.
This is an event that has been consolidated over the years and has become a benchmark in Asturias, and to which more activities have been added, such as the Picos de Europa Fair, a display of other products and crafts from the region.
This event has been declared a Festival of Tourist Interest of the Principality of Asturias.
