Teverga Markets and Events

Life in Teverga has much to do with tradition and with markets. For this reason, several events of this kind are held throughout the year: the San Martín Gastro Events Market, which coincides with the Spring Gastro Events, on the second weekend in March. The Autumn Gastro Events, which take place on the first and second weekends in November, coinciding with the Agri-Food and Crafts Market. The San Martín Prehistory Market, held in conjunction with the Prehistory Weekend, which takes place in a fully themed setting that takes the visitor back to prehistoric times. Activities range from the Flintmobile contest to prehistoric fashion workshops and a Stone Age racetrack, etc. San Juan Market, which takes place on the magical Midsummer's Eve, is noteworthy because the setting of the Collegiate Church of San Pedro in La Plaza is transformed to host the traditional bonfire, with a night market, witches' coven and queimada (flaming orujo pomace brandy punch).
