Ballota / Ruicabo / Ricabo Beach

A secluded, unspoilt area of pebbles and sand

An unspoilt, secluded and quiet beach. That's Ballota Beach, also called Ruicabo or Ricabo, after the River Cabo that flows into the sea here, forming the border between the boroughs of Valdés and Cudillero.

It is a narrow strip, lined by cliffs. It is a 25-minute walk from the rest area where you can park. That is probably why it is usually uncrowded. The beach forms part of the Western Coastline Protected Landscape and has no amenities.

It belongs to the Western Coastline Protected Landscape.
