Info
Its name describes the rocks pierced by the sea that form it.
At the mouth of the Nueva river, there is a beach dotted with huge rock formations perforated by the sea, revealing caves and tunnels. It is a karst landscape of great beauty.
Cuevas de Mar is a very touristy beach, with a high level of occupation, near Nueva in Llanes. It is made up of pebbles and white sand, has moderate waves, although it is not dangerous for bathing, and opens out into a triangular shape.
It has a large car park, good facilities and a recreational area.

- Daily: 15/06 to 08/09 from 11:30 to 19:00 h.
If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- The access and presence of pets on the beach is prohibited from 01/06 to 30/09.
- In the case of abandoned animals wandering on the beaches, their owners will be responsible for them.
- Those who violate the prohibitions, or do not comply with the conditions set out above, must immediately leave the beach with the animal, at the verbal request of the Authority Agents or Rescue personnel, who will issue a report in order to investigate the appropriate disciplinary proceedings.
