The recovery of the town's beach
The beach of L'Arbeyal was for years in disuse, in a poor state of conservation and relegated to second place behind the industry of the area, the popular neighbourhoods of El Natahoyo and La Calzada. In 1995 it was reopened for bathing after a major regeneration project.
Nowadays it is a golden sandy beach, about 400 metres long and bathed by calm waters. It has a high number of visitors and very good services. It is the scene of many sporting events, where beach volleyball and water sports such as sea kayaking are regularly practised.
It is forbidden to practise sports on the sand from 10:00 to 20:00 h. Boards, jet skis, motor or sailing boats, etc, are forbidden in the bathing area.
