The picturesque Doctor Mateo beach
Surrounded by cliffs and made up of gravel, sand and pebbles, Lastres Beach is a 300-metre-long cove bordering the tourist village of the same name, whose fishing harbour is one of the most picturesque and beautiful on the Asturian coast.
Situated at the entrance to the village, it is also known as Playa L’Estilleru, as boats of various tonnages were built there for centuries. It is one of the most frequently featured beaches in Asturias on television: numerous scenes from the series *Doctor Mateo* were filmed there.
