The Evaristo Valle Foundation Museum occupies some 16,000 square metres of splendid gardens.

This museum houses the work that the artist Evaristo Valle (Gijón, 1873-1951) conserved until his death. Visitors may view his first paintings done in Paris from 1903 onwards, portraits of relatives, carnival scenes, country life and other themes, as well as paintings from his final years. The museum also conserves an important collection of drawings, documents and manuscripts from his literary work, an interesting collection of shells, etc.

PERMANENT EXHIBITIONS
The museum houses the work of artist Evaristo Valle (1873-1951). Visitors may view his first paintings done in Paris from 1903 onwards, portraits of relatives, carnival scenes, delicate country themes from his prime as an artist, as well as a series of paintings from his final years in which a variety of archetypal characters are depicted. The museum also conserves an important collection of drawings, documents and manuscripts from his literary work, work materials and an interesting collection of shells started by the artist's father in the mid-19th century.

TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS
Besides the tasks of documenting, studying, preserving and disseminating the work of Evaristo Valle, the museum has likewise hosted more than a hundred exhibitions of different media (painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, engraving, etc.), where it has been possible to see works by Goya, El Greco, Rubens, to name but a few, as well as those by major international contemporary artists. The museum has also shown an intense and assiduous interest for a number of contemporary artists from Asturias. The foundation has published over 40 publications.
