Park of Life

An absolute bet so that nothing remains simple and it is a pleasant sensation to travel through life. If it rains, hails or snows... come along. The guided tour is all indoors and lasts about two hours, even if it's sunny or cloudy... even if it's cloudy. After the interior tour of the Museum you can enjoy three hectares of native forest on a 1.5 km walk.

You will see a collection of the world's cephalopods from the world's smallest to the world's largest, see a dolphin's whiskers, step inside the fuselage of a real space rocket and much more.

The Park of Life is a museum with 750^{m2 of} indoor exhibits comprising the following areas: Stardust, Road to Life, Fossils, Laboratory, Whaling, Cetacean Evolution, Abyssal and Giant Squid, Astronautics, Planetarium, Workshops: Reptiles, Amphibians, Fossils and Dinosaurs.

A 3000^m2 exhibition^on fossils and other geological elements belonging to the last stage of the Carboniferous period will soon be open to the public. This exhibition has an interior space where a mine shoring has been prepared, as well as three glass tanks, a laboratory and a workshop, all designed to contextualise and explain the exhibition content in a didactic way. In addition, a large part of the fossil collection is located outdoors.

The Park will also have an intertidal zone, where a typical rocky area of the Cantabrian Sea is recreated, allowing visitors to get to know this area affected by the tides and an essential habitat for the evolution of life in which more than 50 species give fundamental value to an ecosystem in which barnacles, mussels, periwinkles, crustaceans and cephalopods intermingle with algae and other aquatic organisms and microorganisms, living together harmoniously in ponds and rocky areas.
