Frexulfe Beach
Navia (Western Asturias)
  • Frexulfe Beach is located in the borough of Navia, between the town of Navia and Puerto de Vega.

Frexulfe Beach, a listed Natural Monument and protected species area.
It is the representative beach for the nearby fishing village of Puerto de Vega.

It has a length of 700 metres, with the mouth of a stream at its eastern end, the only part where bathing is recommended. Conservation efforts are especially important due to its easy access.

It has a dune field fixed by a pine forest, where several marine animals have been stranded by the currents. The dunes are populated by different protected or endangered species. Its waters are home to one of the few Cantabrian populations of Othantus maritimus.
