Cares River Route + Nature Watching

This option allows you to combine the Cares route with a spectacular nature observation route crossing the entire Picos de Europa National Park on restricted access tracks, where we will take you to the starting point of the day.

We combine trekking (free) with an exciting nature route helped by our 4x4 where we will cross glacial valleys, moraines and cirques, we will see pastures with their shepherds and sheepfolds where the high altitude transhumance is maintained, livestock of traditional breeds and the famous cheeses of the Picos de Europa are made. We will go into ancient forests where oak and beech trees hide a botanical and faunistic singularity that is sometimes unique in the world.

Always guided by our qualified guides, experts in nature, who will help you to see and understand the fortune of being in such a place, because we are in one of the select areas where the last bears of the Cantabrian Mountains live and reproduce, a place where it is possible to wake up at dawn to the song of the capercaillies, see the bearded vultures fly during the day and shudder at night to the howl of the wolf.
