El Chorrón
- Title Piloña Eastern Asturias
Info
It is located in a unique setting in the middle of an autochthonous forest and on the banks of the Río de La Cueva or Río Pequeño.
From here, a short walk of about 200 metres will take you to La Cascada del Chorrón waterfall, from where you can continue walking for about 2 km to the abandoned village of La Cueva and visit the natural cave in the upper part of the village.
A good way to get to know it is to follow a simple hiking route, which, starting from Villamayor, will take you in just over 2 km to the recreational area and the Chorrón waterfall.

Location
From Oviedo/Uviéu on the N-634, at the entrance to Villamayor and at the height of the church, we turn off to the right following the signs to the recreational area. After about 600 m the asphalted road ends, and we continue along a path that will take us 1.5 km. to the recreational area of El Chorrón. We will have to ford the river with the car on a couple of occasions through the bed concreted for this purpose and that has little depth. If the river is a bit higher or if we do not want to ford it, we will leave it before the first wooden bridge and in a 400 m walk we will arrive at the recreational area.
