GR208 - Central Mountain Cycle Ring
This second stage of the GR-208 Central Mountains Cycling Circuit starts off from Viapará Recreational Area, located right on the climb up to the top of El Angliru, following this road up to the Llagos bend, where the GR-208 leaves the asphalt behind to go cross country along a wide track towards Campa Utiel. Here you have the choice between two variants: one, a hiking trail, which runs above Les Arroxines and follows the GR-206 Riosa Scenic Balconies Trail, ending in Rozacaxil; and the other, more suitable for cyclists, which runs along the downhill track from the turning to Campa Utiel to the road joining Riosa with the village of Llamo (RI-6), where you turn right to then head for Rozacaxil along a paved road. From then on, the trail is shared by both recreational and sports variants, following the course of the road to Llamo.
In the village of Llamo, take the concrete lane that climbs to the old Rioseco mining facilities and then continue on the track that climbs towards Cordal de la Segada ridge until you reach the point of Collado La Argañosa pass. This is a sustained climb among the foliage that offers views of two valleys at the same time: those of Riosa and Lena.
At Collado La Argañosa, continue along the road, turning right towards La Golpeya, which you will recognize thanks to a spring on the right, just above your head. Continue straight on along a track heading toward Collado Ablanedo col, passing through Prau Llagu along the Brañallamosa track, which you leave on the way from Collado Ablanedo.
Once you reach this typical col offering views of Brañallamosa Valley and La Peral Valley, both in the borough of Lena, you turn left to head steeply downhill to Collau Puercu. From there, you continue through open ground along wide trails which lead to the AS-230 road which goes up to Alto de La Cobertoria.
Once you reach the AS-230 road, cross over it and head downhill towards the Peral Valley Recreational Area, the end of this second stage.
In La Golpeya, you can also take the variant along the road which communicates with the AS-230 at a point very close to the La Peral Valley Recreational Area.

Viapará - Valle Peral 24
This second stage of the GR-208 "Anillo Ciclista Montaña Central" starts from the Viapará Recreational Area, located in the middle of the ascent to the summit of the Angliru, where the GR-208 leaves the asphalt roads and enters by means of a wide track towards the Campa Utiel. Here there are two possible variants: one for walkers that goes over Les Arroxines and follows the route of the "GR-206 Balcones de Riosa", ending in Rozacaxil; and the other, more suitable for cyclists, which follows the track downhill from the Campa Utiel turnoff until it reaches the road that links Riosa with the village of Llamo (RI-6), where it turns right and reaches Rozacaxil on tarmac. From this point onwards, the route is the same for both sports and leisure activities, which follow the course of the road to L.lamo.
In the village of L.lamo, take the concrete track that goes up towards the old mining installations of Rioseco, continue along the track that climbs towards the Cordal de la Segada, arriving at the point of Collado La Argañosa. It is a steady climb through the forest that allows us to contemplate the two valleys at the same time: the Rioseco and the Lenense valleys.
At Collado La Argañosa we continue along the road, turning right towards La Golpeya, which we will recognise by a fountain on the right, a little above our head. We continue straight on along a track that makes its way towards Collado Ablanedo, passing Prau Llagu, via the Brañal.lamosa track, which we leave on the way to Collado Ablanedo.
Once we have gained this characteristic field that gives us a view of the Brañal.lamosa and La Peral valleys, both of which are in Lenense territory, we turn right and climb steeply to reach Collau Puercu. We then continue through open spaces, along wide paths, which lead to the AS-230 road that climbs up to the Alto de La Cobertoria.
Once we reach the AS-230 road, we cross it and head down towards the Valle Peral Recreational Area, the end point of this second stage.
In La Golpeya, you can also take the alternative route which, by road, connects with the AS-230 at a meeting point very close to the Valle Peral Recreational Area.
