Baluverxa

Baluverxa, the first surf school in Cabo Peñas, has over three decades’ experience on the beaches where it runs its lessons. We offer surfing courses in Bañugues, Luanco, Verdicio and Xago, tailored to all levels and ages, from children aged 10 and over to adults, families and groups. Our qualified surf instructors ensure that learning is quick, easy, safe and fun. With facilities right by the beach, we’re open all year round, offering daily lessons from Monday to Sunday.

We value the loyalty of our former pupils and offer special discounts for groups, primary schools, secondary schools, universities and sports clubs. Run by local surfers from Cabo Peñas, who love the sea and surfing, our school is authorised by the Principality of Asturias’ Active Tourism programme, with exclusive licences to run courses on the beaches of Verdicio and Bañugues.

Our aim is to teach people how to surf and share everything there is to know about this exciting sport so that our pupils can enjoy the sea independently. The courses include qualified instructors, all the necessary equipment, changing rooms, transport to the beach from the Cabo Peñas Local Authority, medical and third-party liability insurance, as well as photos and videos of the lessons.
