‘Stand-up Paddleboarding (SUP)’, commonly known as ‘Paddle Surfing’, is the fastest-growing water sport in the world.

The Asturian Surf School, a pioneer in the sport since 2009, has been offering lessons, courses and unique experiences in what is considered Europe’s premier “Stand-up Paddle destination”; Llanes and the eastern coast of Asturias boast a unique setting where, within a very small area, you can enjoy all its variations on beaches, coves, estuaries, rivers and wild high-mountain lakes.

From beginners’ sessions in the calm waters of its coves, beaches and small estuaries to river descents, through to the experience of paddling in the high mountains or a unique activity such as ‘Espeleopaddle’ amongst grottoes and caves, not to mention stand-up paddleboarding amongst the waves of the Cantabrian Sea.
