La Tabernilla de Oviedo has been located since 2005 in "La Ería" in the classic Oviedo neighbourhood of La Argañosa, where the vegetable gardens and meadows of the neighbourhood used to be. Now we are surrounded by one of the most modern areas of the neighbourhood and of Oviedo...
Wide landscaped areas surround us like the Dolores Medio Park where we can contemplate the great source of oxygen of our city, the "Monte Naranco" with its pre-Romanesque monuments, Santa María del Naranco and San Miguel de Lillo, always watched over by the immense statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on its summit, to the Parque del Oeste full of first class sports facilities where big events and national and international sports championships are organised.
It is also worth mentioning the wide range of hotels that surround us, from 4-star hotels to hostels and guesthouses and only 10 minutes from the city centre.
Our restaurant is a must for pilgrims on the Camino Primitivo de Santiago, which passes through the neighbourhood, and who are looking for traditional stews and the warmth of good taste.
Located in the old family garden where our ancestors grew beans, cabbage, beans, beans, beans, potatoes and other foods, teaching us the love for the land and quality products of Km 0, this philosophy being part of our DNA from the beginning.
The cuisine we prepare is characterised above all by offering the authentic flavours of Asturias. The cuisine of La Tabernilla is personalised thanks to Lucía Fernández, a guisandera at heart and a cook by vocation, for the simple mastery of her stews, stews and traditional Asturian roasts such as fabada (bean stew) or pote de berzas (cabbage stew), as well as verdinas with octopus, stewed potatoes with arbeyos and conger eel, beans with marinated ribs, our Gochu Asturcelta rib and that Cantabrian spider crab cake as a starter that leaves no one indifferent, as well as those fried hake on the skewer and those little nods to the casquería corno stewed tongue, tripe to the Asturian, stewed tail of Asturian cows from the valley and traditional dishes of each season highlighting without any doubt the most recognized menu City of Oviedo, the Menu of Disarmament (always on request at least on October 19, when the big day is celebrated).
