Gijón Underwater Activities Club

Since 1973, Gijonesa de Actividades Subacuáticas, S.L. has been a leading name in local tourism, offering its services to both visitors and residents of Gijón. For decades, it has been committed to making the maritime environment an experience accessible to all.

During the summer, from Tuesday to Sunday, the company offers boat trips around Gijón Bay, departing from the La Barquera jetty at the Marina. This tour, lasting approximately thirty minutes, offers panoramic views of the local quay, the fishing district of Cimavilla, the hill of Santa Catalina with Chillida’s famous sculpture ‘Elogio del Horizonte’, and San Lorenzo Beach, returning to the starting point at the end of the trip.

For groups interested in exploring the Asturian coast or arranging bespoke itineraries, the company organises excursions to nearby destinations such as Candás or Luanco, as well as combined trips to places like San Lorenzo Beach and the Port of El Musel. These excursions require advance booking.

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office located opposite the “La Barquera” ramp, near the Revillagigedo Palace, where card payments are accepted. The boat trips do not have a fixed departure time but set off once a minimum number of passengers has been reached.
