The River Caudal is a river that flows through the central area of Asturias and is a tributary of the River Nalón, into which it flows at Soto de Ribera.

It is born in Santa Cruz de Mieres, as a result of the union of the Aller and Lena Rivers. It runs for 14 km through the municipality of Mieres, for most of which a pedestrian river path runs parallel to it.
It is one of the two great mining basins of Asturias, with several mining shafts of intense production in the vicinity. It allows trout fishing without death in a limited area.

Its most important tributaries are the river Aller and the river Lena.
The river Aller, 42 km long, draining a catchment area of some 280 square km and an average annual flow of 10.88 cubic metres per second.
The River Lena, 32 km long, draining a catchment area of 232 square km and an average annual flow of 6.48 cubic metres per second.
