- Title Llanes Eastern Asturias
This complex, easily accessible and located a few kilometres from the town of Buelna, is of great scenic, geological and educational value, which is why its conservation is so important. It includes a set of karst depressions of great value, as well as a small stretch of cliff.
The first depression forms the Cobijeru Beach, which has the peculiarity of being isolated from the coastal edge, being one of the few inland beaches in the Principality. A few metres away is the Cobijeru Cave, which connects the coast with the higher inland area through a gallery subject to the tide levels.
This complex is completed by a large stone arch over the sea known as Puente Caballo (Horse Bridge), and by a bufón (a kind of jester's bridge) with an oblique development towards the beach.
The Cobijeru Complex is located in the municipality of Llanes, on the coastal stretch northwest of the town of Buelna.
