San Salvador de Celorio
  • Ecclesiastical
It only conserves a Romanesque tower from the original building.

It was originally a small monastery which began to be inhabited in the 12th century by Benedictine monks, who founded a school of philosophy here in 17th century.

It only conserves a Romanesque tower from the original building, possibly built at the same time as the tower of Oviedo Cathedral, the church being late Romanesque. It has been used as a retreat house since the early 20th century.
