A walk through the village of Asiegu in the company of Javier and Manolo opens the doors to the world of Guillermina. The Asturias of Cabrales cheese and cider, the Asturias of the farmhouse and the shepherds, the Asturias of the countrymen and countrywomen.

Asiegu, 400 metres above sea level, offers a wide panoramic view between Arenas (130 m.) and the summit of Picu Urriellu or Naranjo de Bulnes (2519 m.). From here, the valley, the prehistoric and winter pastures, the forest, the slope and the xerra, and the passes with their sheepfolds... give us the key to fully enjoy the landscape of the Picos de Europa.

We will explain how Cabrales cheese is made without entering the cheese factory to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. We will visit the maturing cave of Los Sotámbanos and our cider press Pamirandi to learn the best kept secrets of Cabrales and cider.
