Route
Felechosa - El Pino 4,600
The route starts in the town of Felechosa, from where we set off in the direction of the bridge that crosses the Braña river. The path follows a comfortable route with hardly any gradient, a beautiful walk through meadows and deciduous forest, popularly known as El Foyoso. The route ends at the bridge over the river Valmartín, which we will have to cross to reach our goal: the Molín de Peón. We soon see a recreational area on the left-hand side of the path, where we can take a break to regain our strength.
From this point we can see the Molín de Peón, a trout hatching and rearing centre managed by the "El Maravayu" Fishermen's Association. This building was erected at the end of the 19th century to serve as a mill and fulling mill.
It later became a mini-hydroelectric power station, until it was closed in the 1950s. We can return to Felechosa by crossing the village of El Pino and taking the royal road, which takes us back to the starting point.
ACCESS:
The start of the route is in the town of Felechosa, which can be reached by the AS-112 Uxo-Puerto de San Isidro road.
