Pinto Eggs Festival. Siero
From early in the morning, the most historic and central area of La Pola Siero is filled with stalls decorated for the occasion where you can see and buy Pinto Eggs, with a wide variety of decorations and sizes, although most of them include in their artistic design motifs that allude to traditional Asturian culture. This event is always held on the Tuesday following Easter Sunday.
This event has been declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in the Principality of Asturias.
The tradition of the 'Huevos Pintos' is of uncertain origin and is several centuries old. In Siero, in particular, it has been passed down orally from generation to generation.
