If in Asturias one had to look for or imagine the guardians of time, of memory, of customs and village life, one of the most powerful would undoubtedly be in Los Oscos, a region that seems designed for ethnographic science and that can fulfil the expectations of travellers and researchers who want to travel into the past... A perfect metaphor for this time in detention is the Casa del Marco, in Villarquille, a sample of the life of the peasants of the most remote and authentic west until well into the 20th century.
